About Rashida

I have a wonderful church that I have attended since 1997 where I sing on the praise team.  I have a beautiful family with 3 wonderful children and an amazing husband, and lots of supportive family and friends that I am blessed to call brother, sister, auntie and uncle to my children.

I am a worshiper!  I love to worship God extravagantly!  I dance as if no one were watching and I sing as if no one were listening.  It may not always be the best to everyone else, but it’s a sweet sound unto His ears.

    Rashida,

I stumbled across your blog, and am pleased to see someone with so much passion for Jesus. Thank you for sharing that enthusiasm.

I feel like I should say, though, that some of your comments about worship are disconcerting. Since your blog is openly published for all to see, I do not consider sharing some of your thoughts with those I teach. I am, however, using them as examples of abuses that need to be tempered in the body.

Specifically, you speak of worship as an individual enterprise, where (as you say above) you worship as though you were all alone, with no care for their reactions. Are you quite sure this is healthy?

If you would like to dip into our conversation on worship, feel free. We’re in an extended study of worship through our blog: 4thseed.worpress.com.

God’s best to you – I’m sure we’ll see you around His throne any day now!

I found your music just what I needed at this moment in my life. I have lost my wife to another man and have had this song in heart for weeks. thanks for the experience.
